The Adventures of Baxter Danboard
I’ve been spending a lot of time shooting my newest purchase from Comic Con. He’s definitely brought a lot of fun into my photography.

Finally, it has came and went. The much awaited Comic Con 2009. I only had a ticket for Sunday this year, but I made the best of it. Woke up early, road the trolley to the convention center and walked through the doors at 9:30a.
Some of the highlights for me:
-Everyone and their mother seemed to have signs offering free hugs. What is it with these people? Do they not get love at home?
-Stumbling across Adam West (Batman) in an obscure little booth signing autographs. He joked with me about my camera lens getting too close to his old man nose. But as you can see, I was going for the wide shot.
-My recent obsession with the Yotsuba&! toy, Danboard was satiated when I found the last Danboard for sale on the floor. Of course he went home with me.
-And of course, I can’t complete a list of highlights without including an honorable mention for my ever-present buddy in crime, Jeff. He gets high praise for just showing up this morning. And an even bigger IOU for putting up with my exhaustive toy search all day long. Thanks Jeff! You’re awesome.

A friend that was staying at my house and I decided to catch him off guard and use him as my video test subject. First time ever editing and posting a video on my D90.

I finally got out to do some night shooting around town here and I am very happy with what I came up with. I met some other photographers that were able to instruct me on how to capture the best possible image.
I was able to set my shutter speed on my camera to “bulb” settings in order to manually control when the shutter opens and closes. A tripod was used as well as a remote shutter release. The exposure on these pictures ranges from 30 seconds to 3 minutes.
Enjoy and comment!
